| Zagreb Shoulder Course 2013 |  | This year on April 5th and 6th, prof.dr.sc. Nikola Čičak and employees of our hospital have organised Zagreb Shoulder Course in the Hotel Antunović in Zagreb. Around 50 young orthopaedic surgeons and physiotherapists had participated in the Course and among 10 speakers – 8 of them were invited from different leading orthopedic centers for shoulder and elbow surgery from all around the Europe. more |
| More than 1000 surgical procedures in a year |  | „Akromion“ hospital is celebrating its first birthday. Few days prior the celebration, dr Denis Tršek has performed our 1000th operation – ankle arthroscopy. We have performed 151 arthroplasty (hip, knee and shoulder replacement). The majority of surgeries were arthroscopies of knee, shoulder and ankle. more |
| Hip resurfacing |  | Indication for resurfacing hip prosthesis implant is very important.
A typical candidate is a male under 60, diagnosed with arthrosis, hip dysplasia (shallow socket), avascular necrosis (death of the bone) who wants a high level of activity after the surgery. Firm bone and good bone mass is crucial for resurfacing prosthesis. more |
